When Balcon "Bal" "BB" Berry was born on January 9, 1884, in Joppa, Alabama, his father, William, was 29 and his mother, Lizzie, was 25. He married Beulah Lee Elliott on July 3, 1909, in Mayflower, Arkansas. They had five children in 14 years. He died on June 24, 1953, in Morrilton, Arkansas, at the age of 69.
