Wanda June (Washam) Thompson, 68, of North Little Rock passed away on Friday, July 2, 2010.
She was born on Wednesday, July 1, 1942 in Scott, Arkansas to the late Payton Anderson and Lois (Powell) Washam.
Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her sisters remember her as a very special sister to them. She was retired from Dassault Falcon Jet and Baldwin Piano.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, George Thompson, Jr., whom she married on July 2, 1959; three sons, George Thompson, III, William and Kim Thompson, and Warner and Kim Thompson; daughter, Patti Jo Thompson; ten grandchildren, Payton Thompson, Mason Thompson, Justin (Ross) Thompson, Ashley Torres, Edward Torres, Courtney Thompson, Sydney Thompson, Lindsey Thompson, Jesse Thompson, and Jake Thompson; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Shirley Washam, Becky Naylor, Beverly Wheeler, and Betsy Caudle; brother, Bill Washam; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Kathryn Washam Yant, Marilyn Washam, and Linda Washam; and two brothers, Linn Washam and Roger Washam.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with Pastor Norman Powell and John Mix officiating. Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery with Jesse Thompson, Jake Thompson, Ross Thompson, Edward Torres, Matthew Pruss, and Alex Humphries, serving as pallbearers. Payton Thompson and Mayson Thompson will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, July 5, 2010.
The family will meet at the home of James and Beverly Wheeler, 267 Hwy 89 N, Mayflower.
