Edwin Doyle Grissom, 91 of Walnut Ridge, died August 20, 2019 at the Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born December 29, 1927 in Lauratown; son of the late Roy and Katherine Doyle Grissom. Edwin was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Virginia Bellah on November 8, 1947. Through his life he worked on a local farm for a short time and at a local Piggly Wiggly, the Jonathan Logan Dress Factory and then he retired at the Brown Shoe Factory. He was a member of the Hoxie United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Virginia in 2008; and a brother, Buddy Grissom.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Mullen of Walnut Ridge and Debbie (Stan) Billings of West Plains, MO; two grandchildren, Tara Billings of West Plains, MO and Zach Mullen of Walnut Ridge; two sisters, Ernestine (Bob) Crackel of Linn, MO and Barbara Richards of O’Fallon, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be Friday, August 23, 2019 at 2 P.M. in the Hoxie United Methodist Church with Rev. Beth Perdue officiating. Pallbearers will be Zach Mullen, George Bruton, Richard Ballard, J.R. Mullen, Ryan Caldwell, and Chris Ellison. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Hoxie United Methodist Men’s Sunday School Class. Interment and Military Honors will be in the Lawrence Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M. in the Bryan Funeral Home.

WALNUT RIDGE — Virginia Grissom, 78, of Walnut Ridge passed away Tuesday.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin Grissom of the home; two daughters, Debra Billings (Stan) of West Plains, Mo., and Pam Mullen Russell of Walnut Ridge; two grandchildren, Tara Billings and Zach Mullen.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Hoxie United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of the Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.
Visitation will be this evening from 6-8 in Bryan Funeral Home.
