Jerry Bailey, 62 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas.
He was born on August 19, 1953 in Homer, Louisiana and is preceded in death by his father, George Bailey.
He retired from Lion Oil Company, was a member of First Baptist Church in Magnolia where he participated in overseas mission trips, a past president of Magnolia Jaycees, and a past president of the Boys and Girls Club of Magnolia.
Jerry is survived by his wife Debbie Bailey; his mother Pearl Bailey; a son Jon Bailey and wife Kimberly; and a daughter Casey Hanson and husband Jason all of Magnolia; three step children, Jeff White and Ashley White of Magnolia, and Melissa Franks and husband Jeremy of Benton, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Tatum and Jayci Hanson, Dylan and Presley Bailey, Christian and Caleb White, and Kamryn and Bentley Franks; a sister Carolyn Dumas and husband Johnny of Madison, Mississippi, two brothers, Butch Bailey and wife Becky of Russellville, Arkansas, and Curt Bailey and wife Beverly of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Magnolia. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Bro. Brent Summerhill and Bro. Roger Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lifetouch Hospice, Boys and Girls Club of Magnolia, Frist Baptist Church in Magnolia, or to Evangelistic International Ministries.
Pallbearers will be Ray Glidewell, David Sutherland, Ricky Summers, David Teer, Bill Merritt, Fred Alston, Danny Smith, and Randy Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Miller, Ricky Hughes, Ed Grafton, Larry Grace, Jeremy Franks, Jeff White, Randy Franks, E.L. Maness, and the Lion Oil Family.
