Billie "Bill" Rothfus, 77, of Rogers died Friday, March 19, 2004, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. Mr. Rothfus was born Jan. 25, 1927, in Sachse, Texas, the son of John George and Annie Catherine Poynter Rothfus. Mr. Rothfus worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 19 years and for Jones Truck Lines for 21 years. Bill served as an elder at the Garfield Church of Christ for 25 years and was currently a member of Southside Church of Christ in Rogers. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Elizabeth Reeves and one grandson, Jared Alston Rothfus.

He is survived by his wife, Nesta Blanche Franks Rothfus of the home; their children and grandchildren; son, Bobby Rothfus and wife Marlene of Cookeville, Tenn., and children Janell and Jondan Rothfus; daughter, Sherry Gray and husband Richard of Avoca and child, Leslie Gray; son, Danny Rothfus and wife Melissa of Gateway and children, Serena, Zephyr, Ethan and Brya; daughter, Mindy Arnold and husband Johnny of Harrison and children Joshua, Caleb and Rebecca; son, Maury Rothfus and wife Tammy of Bentonville and children, Tiffany and Cheston; seven sisters and two brothers, Anna Lou Gentle, Clara Hensley, Dollie Kissinger, Johnny Rothfus and wife Billie Maurine, David Rothfus and wife Joyce, Martha Boyd and husband Bill, Mary Barger, Virginia McKissick and husband Johnny and Jerry Lynn Edwards and husband Jerry Wayne, all of Texas.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Southside Church of Christ in Rogers with Mr. Jackie Chestnut and Mr. Bobby Vaughn officiating.

Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, c/o Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, 72756.

ROGERS — Nesta Blanche Rothfus, 86, of Rogers passed away May 26, 2020, in Rogers. She was born April 8, 1934, in Flomot, Texas, the daughter of C.L. and Erma Cornell Franks.

Nesta worked at Walmart Store No. 1 in Rogers from 1974 to 1984 and was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her Billie "Bill" Rothfus and grandson Jared Rothfus.

She is survived by children Bobby Rothfus and wife Marlene of Cookeville, Tenn., Sherry Gray and husband Richard of Lowell, Danny Rothfus and wife Trina of Garfield, Mindy Arnold and husband Johnny of Omaha, Ark., Maury Rothfus and wife Tammy of Bentonville; sister Nelda Kirk of McLean, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will take place 12:30-2 p.m., the funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, Ark. Private Interment at the Rogers Cemetery, Rogers, Ark.
