When Samuel David Wiley was born on January 16, 1892, in Arkansas, his father, John, was 53 and his mother, Jane, was 33. He married Johanna "Joe" Freeman on February 9, 1918, in Faulkner, Arkansas. He died on October 14, 1965, in McRae Township, Arkansas, at the age of 73, and was buried in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
