Florence Byers Newman, 62 of Van Buren, Arkansas died in a Fort Smith, Arkansas Hospital.She was a member of the First Christian Church of Fort Smith and the Gideon International Auxiliary.She was survived by her husband,Perry; son, David of Houston; sisters, Mrs R E Crigler and Mrs Ralph Dooley both of Fort Smith and Mrs Oscar Cate of Mariana, Arkansas; brothers, G W "Chub" Byers of Fort Smith and David Byers of Alma, Arkansas; and two grandchildren.
