When Waverly Bishop Hardy was born on December 13, 1896, in Faulkner, Arkansas, his father, William, was 26 and his mother, Mary, was 21. He married Famie S Kirkpatrick and they had two children together. He also had one son and one daughter from another relationship. He died on April 24, 1957, in Faulkner, Arkansas, at the age of 60, and was buried in Greenbrier, Arkansas.

When Famie S Kirkpatrick was born in 1899 in Arkansas, her father, Alvin, was 37, and her mother, Elizibeth, was 32. She married Waverly Bishop Hardy and they had two children together. She also had one daughter from another relationship. She died on February 23, 1981, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 82, and was buried in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
