Daisy Nadine Walters Dotson, age 62, of Gassville, died Oct 10, 1998, at the Baxter County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Dotson was born June 9, 1936, in Chicago, the daughter of Clyde Otis and Pearl Vanetta (Hedrick) Howard. She was a retired real estate business owner, a member of the Columbus Primitive Baptist Church and a life member of the Hoevel-Barnett VFW Post Auxiliary in Bull Shoals.
Mrs. Dotson donated the land and financed the building of the Columbus Primitive Baptist church and enjoyed raising funds for the needy.
On September 20, 1952, in Williamson, WV, she was united in marriage with Dave Dotson.
Mrs. Dotson had lived in the area since 1976 after relocating here from Columbus, OH.
Survivors include her sons, Morgan D. Dotson and his wife Linda of Lakeview, Donald W. Dotson of Columbus and Paul G. Dotson and his wife, Martha of Wexford, PA; her mother Pearl Vanetta Howard of Gassville; her brothers, Claude Howard of Sarasota, FL and Gene Howard of Gassville; her sisters, Renie Eggers, Julie Justice, Maggie Justice and Josie Dotson, all of Columbus; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Katherine Saulnier.
Mrs. Dotson was preceded in death by her husband, her father, one daughter and one sister.
Services were held at the Kirby-Conner-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.R. Cousins officiating.
Burial was at the Heiskill Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Kirby-Conner-Boaz Funeral Directors in Mt. Home.
Kirby-Conner-Boaz Funeral Directors, Batesville Casket Company, and the United States Forest Service have provide for the planting of a tree as a living memorial and tribute to Daisy Nadine Walters Dotson.
