When Loey Anderson Hill was born on May 6, 1914, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, his father, Alexander, was 20 and his mother, Lillie, was 20. He married Essie Wagley in 1936 in Missouri. They had two children during their marriage. He died on August 14, 1982, in Kewanee, Missouri, at the age of 68, and was buried in his hometown.
