Gary Frank Zimmerman, age 73, of Oppelo, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016. He was born March 18, 1943 in Morrilton, a son of the late John Ike Zimmerman and the late Louise Mary Miller Zimmerman. He was a carpenter and member of Morrilton of Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Zimmerman; three daughters, Cathy (Lex) Anderson of Oppelo, Claudia (Brian Hannah) Caldwell of Quitman, and Carla Rackley of Morrilton; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond Zimmerman, Gordon Zimmerman, and David Zimmerman; two sisters, Jeannie Andrews and Thresia York. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Zimmerman. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Davis officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home with visitation following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Elizabeth Church, 89 St. Elizabeth Rd, Morrilton, AR 72110.
