March 4, 1889 - April 24, 1968
Mrs. Maude Steadmon Cargile, 79, of 4512 W. Hillsboro St., died Wednesday in a local hospital. Survivors include a son, Ralph S. Cargile, El Dorado; a niece, Mrs. Mary W. Smith, Long Beach, Calif.; and a nephew, Emory Wood, Hot Springs. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pratt Funeral Chapel officiated by the Rev. Willie LaBeff. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Active [pallbearers will be Raymann Grandon, John L. Hampton, Buddy Atkins, Charles Skinner and H. J. Crain. Honorary pallbearers will be Emon A. Mahoney, R. Burney Wilson, Dr. Joe B. Wharton, Jr., Gordon Wade and the board of deacons of the Wyatt Baptist Church. The family will be at 4512 W. Hillsboro St. (El Dorado Times - April 25, 1968)
