Eddren was born in Pine Grove, Dallas County, Arkansas to William Henry Harrison and Sallie Ann Dortch. He was a deacon at the Ebenezer Baptist Church. He started the Harrison School and was the acting director. He married Beulah Butler on February 7, 1901 in Dallas County, Arkansas. He died in Sparkman, Arkansas
