Wesley Raymond Stephenson, 77, of Bentonville, died Thursday morning at Bates Memorial Hospital in Bentonville. He was born Jan. 21, 1901 in Hartwick, Iowa.
He moved to the Garfield area in 1913 with his family and later moved to the Mason Valley area where he resided 40 years before moving to Bentonville in 1975. He was a member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church in Bentonville.
Survivors are his wife, Dixie of the home; one son, Raymond Stephenson of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Etta Forsythe of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Callison McKinney Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville with Rev. Larry Lewis and Jack Vinson officiating. Burial will be in the Coffelt Cemetery.
