Mrs. Elizabeth Hogg Darden, aged 78, lifelong resident of Union County, died at her home in Lisbon, Wednesday night. She was the daughter of the late Hal and Elizabeth Smioth Hogg, pioneer Union County residents. She was a member of the Lisbon Methodist church. She is survived by her husband, George W. Darden, and two sons, Alvin and Walker Darden, all of Lisbon; six daughters, Miss Lonnie Darden, of Lisbon, Mrs. Penny Howard, Mrs. W. E. Parks, Mrs. J. E. Moffett all of Smackover, Mrs. Huttie Mooty of El Dorado and Mrs. Eula Reynolds of Bernice, La.; four brothers, Dick, Frank, and D. A. Hogg all of Smackover and Cleveland Hogg of Cedar Grove, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Murphy of Smackover and Mrs. Kate Duke of El Dorado; 34 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Friendship Methodist Church near Cairo on Friday at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. P. D. Alston of Huttig and Rev. Tom Christie. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
