Johnnie Samuel Flowers, 61, of Leesville, La. dies in a hospital there Wednesday night. He was a former resident of Camden, a member of the Assembly of God Church at Leesville, a retired fireman with Camp Polk Fire Department, and a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Katherine Scott Flowers, one daughter, Mrs. Brenda Joyce Parker of Camden; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Stout of Idabel, Okla. and Mrs. Lula Hankins of Seminole, Tex.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Cullendale Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the Smackover Cemetery by Proctors. (Camden News - December 8, 1972)
