Linnie May (Mahan) Inman of Hoxie passed away at Lawrence Memorial Hospital March 25, 2017. She was 99 1/2. Linnie was born in Alicia on September 21, 1917, to Elmer and Lois (Wolf) Mahan.

Mrs. Inman was married to Arthur Lee Inman,they had 4 children. She was a Christian woman,and a member of Hoxie Church of Christ. She was very wise and quick witted. She worked in the cotton fields as a young woman and taught her children the value of work.

Linnie is survived by 2 daughters, Sarah Lawhon and husband Eddie, Sue Russell; sons, Arthur Inman Jr. and wife Betty, all of Hoxie and Jim Inman and wife Zona of Powhaton. 9 Grandchildren, and many, many great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; and 1 infant grandson, Johnny Lee Inman; 2 sisters Thelma Stanley and Lorene Rose; 2 brothers, Hildon and Ed Mahan;

Her grandsons will be her pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Inman, Steve Brown and John Jenkins.

Mrs. Inman's services are as follows: Visitation is Monday Evening March 27,2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at House Gregg Funeral Home Chapel.

A Celebration of Life Service is Tuesday morning March 28, 2017 at 10:00 am at Hoxie Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.

David Inman, her grandson, will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Children Home in Paragould, AR.

The services are under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home.
