Arthur "Murl" Spruiell, 103 of El Paso, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2011. Born in Alabama on June 20, 1907, he was a son to the late Robert and Flora (Perkins) Spruiell. Mr. Spruiell will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. Before retirement he worked in construction as a millwright. He was a member of El Paso 1st Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge # 65 at El Paso.
Murl was also preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Daisy (Williams) Spruiell; sons: Dean, Tony, Jerry and Robert Spruiell and his siblings Georgia, Roxie, Olin and J.D.
Survivors include his brother Barney Spruiell of Louisiana; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, February 21, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with Bro. Larry Grubbs officiating. Interment will follow at Vilonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Sunday at the funeral home.
