Floyd Stevenson, 103, of Holland, Arkansas, passed away August 24, 2010. He was born September 13, 1906, in Holland, Arkansas, to the late John George and Lora Octavia (James) Stevenson.
He was a retired farmer and a lifelong member of the Oakland United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School and led singing until he was 99. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 68 years, Jennie (Smith) Stevenson; one brother, Herman Stevenson; one sister, Mavis Spear; and four infant siblings.
He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Oakland Methodist Church, in Holland, with the funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Jim Kirk, Charlie D. Parsons, Ray Fulmer, Rolland Hammer, Charles Berry, Glyness Clements and Kenneth Ogle.
