MELBOURNE — Aleta Jean Coggins Liscomb, 67, of Melbourne died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at her home.
Born June 3, 1946, she was the daughter of Jeff Coggins and Ora Housdan Coggins. She was united in marriage to Rudolph Liscomb on May 5, 1965 in Walnut Ridge. She was a homemaker and worked as a health care aide at Lawrence Hall Nursing Home in Walnut Ridge, Pioneer Nursing and Rehab and Izard County Home Health Services in Melbourne. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Rudolph Liscomb of the home; a son, Curtis Liscomb of Imboden; two daughters, Kathy Allmon of Melbourne and Vada Whitlock of Heber Springs; a brother, Dennis Coggins of Hoxie; a sister, Brenda West of Hoxie; 21 grandchildren, Michael Liscomb, Vanessa Pendergrass, David Rigsbee, Thomas Liscomb, Ryan Langston, Nina Langston, Isaiah Whitlock, Addison Whitlock, Krystal Allmon, Brittney Allmon, Hamilton Liscomb, Devin Liscomb, Katelyn Liscomb, James Whitlock, Jered Whitlock, Victoria Mansfield, Kainen Rogers, Maigen Rogers, Lacy Liscomb, Lily Liscomb and Brooklyn Liscomb; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Billy Coggins; and a sister, Janice Mitchell.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Melbourne Cemetery with Wayne Wilson officiating. Arrangements are by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
