Merle Jones, 87, of Tuckerman departed this life Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Knox Jones; parents, Allen and Fannie Turner Hopkins; brother, Earl Hopkins; sisters, Arby Bird and Emmagene Keller; and stepgranddaughter, Sherri Lane.
Survivors include daughters, Marie Lane (Boyd) of Bryant, Doris McElrath of Newark and Beverly Worthington (Gary) of Swifton; brother; J.A. Hopkins of Grubbs; 10 grand-children; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Ballews Chapel Cemetery.
