December 11, 1913 - October 14, 1964
Mrs. Lois Marie Cary, 56, of Channelview, Tex., died at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday in a Pasadena, Tex., hospital following a short illness. Mrs. Cary was born Dec. 11, 1908 in South Fork, Ark., and was the daughter of Archie Lee and Ethel Lane. She had lived in Channelview for the past 15 years. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Archie Lane of El Dorado; two daughters, Mrs. Doyle Arnold of Houston and Mrs. Aubrey Kissinger of Pine Bluff; a son, Doyle Lee Hughes of Houston; a sister, Mrs. J. W. Grubbs of El Dorado; a brother, Bobby Gene Layne of El Dorado; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Marrable Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. E. T. Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery under direction of Rumph Mortuary. The body will arrive at the mortuary Saturday morning and will be carried to the church at 1 p.m. Pallbearers will be Paul Nolan, Linnie Shankle, Willard Thurman, Truman Emison Warren McCullars and Alton McLemore.
