FITZGERALD, B.C. - After a lengthy illness, six or eight months of which he was confined to his bed, B.C. Fitzgerald died Thursday of last week at one o'clock at his home west of Springdale. Funeral services were held at the residence Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. L.S. Ballard, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and the remains were interred in Bluff Cemetery. Deceased was born in this locality August 3, 1861 and if we mistake not spent his entire life in this vicinity. March 8, 1881 he was united in marriage to Josie Slight, who, together with two grown sons, survives. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Van Peerson, living south of Springdale and Mrs. Wm. Lichlyter, who resides in Kansas. Deceased has been a member of the Baptist Church in Springdale since he was eighteen years of age.
