SAGE - Dovie Mae Tate Jackson, 81, of Sage died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at a Batesville hospital.
Born Oct. 13, 1921, at Yardell, she was the daughter of George W. Tate and Ira Belle Evans Tate. She was a waitress and homemaker and a member of Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William Hoyt Jackson; a daughter, Elwanda Kimble of Sage; a brother, W.R. Tate of Lakeland, Fla.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bill Jackson; two grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Roller Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Melbourne with Bobby Cannon officiating. Burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Kimble, Ray Dover, Bob Tate, Terry Kimble, Gary Dudra and Eric Morehead.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Kimble, Charles Walker, Travis Tate, Lehman Jackson, Carl Walls, Ed Sollac and Gene Kimble.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
