* obituary

Janell Marie Walker Hill was born on Jan. 22, 1932, in Newkirk and peacefully died on April 8, 2015, in Arlington, Texas, surrounded by her immediate family.
She was the daughter of George and Myrl Bliss Walker, of rural Newkirk, in the Middleton area northwest of Newkirk.
She was a graduate of Newkirk High School and married Alfred W. Hill of Tonkawa, Dec. 24, 1950 in the Presbyterian Church of Middleton.
Throughout Janell’s life she was involved in and impacted so many people with a unique, honest and straight-forward manner that will be missed by many.
Everything from Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts with her children to an active member of the Shebas at Khiva Shrine with her husband, not leaving out grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which she helped with until she passed away.
To list all associations and accomplishments would be nearly impossible, she was truly an amazing woman and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her children including her daughter, Cheryl and husband Ed Culwell, of Arlington, Texas; daughter, Shelia and husband Bert Keefer, of Littlefield, Texas; son, John Hill, of Mountain Home, Ark.; and son Carl Hill and wife Paula, of Mountain Home, Ark. She is also survived by grandson, Travis and four granddaughters, Amber, Emily, Sara and Grace, as well as great-grandchildren Sam, Hayden, Brooklynn, Katarina and Henry; and by a sister Suzie and husband Bob Patterson, of Ponca City; sister-in-law, Helen Walker, of Muskogee and nieces, nephews, great- and grand-nieces and nephews, cousins and lots of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, of 62 years, Alfred W. Hill; granddaughter, Hailey; as well as her parents; two brothers, Rex and George Junior; a sister, Phyllis; and two infant-age brothers.
Private family service will be held at a later date.
