Brenda Diane Maier Mannis, age 54, died January 24, 2013. She was born May 1, 1958, to Don Maier, Sr., and Iva Jane Ward Maier. Brenda was a member of the General Assembly and the Church of the First Born and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her father; daughter, Cindy Mannis Hartsoe; and her brother, Jerry Don Maier.
Survivors included her husband, Elmo Mannis; daughter, Crystal Farrow and her husband, Raymond of DeWitt; son-in-law, David Hartsoe and his wife, Candice, of DeWitt; mother, Iva Jane Maier; brothers, Don Maier, Jr. and his wife, Teresa, George Maier and his wife, Sonya, Dwain Maier and his wife, Tammy, all of DeWitt; sister, Nancy Morgan and her husband, Jeff, of DeWitt; sister-in-law, Jean Maier, of Sherwood; and eight grandchildren.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the General Assembly and Church of the First Born. Burial was in Thomp-son Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home.
