Mahattibel Line Barley's parents, Levi and Charity Line, came from Ohio to Round Mountain in the 1870's and settled on the south side of Gold Creek ford crossing known as the "Line Ford." The Line family donated the land on a hillside south of Gold Creek for the Line Cemetery. Mrs Line and son, Joseph H were buried in that cemetery in 1885. George W and Mahattibel Line Barley, a son James C., A S Lind and wife Florence Barley Lind are also among the early settlers buried in this cemetery.
