Catharine Mae McWhorter, 77, of Ward died Friday, May 9, 2014 at White County Medical Center in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born in Des Arc on April 18, 1937 to Abbie and Wilma Mae (Jones) Jenkins. Survivors include her husband, George McWhorter, one daughter, Donna Brock, two sons, Keith McWhorter, Kevin McWhorter, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three brothers, Charles Jenkins, Harold Jenkins, Troy Jenkins, two sisters, Ruby Taylor, Frances Martin. Visitation is 12:00-2:00 Saturday at Garth Funeral Home Chapel, Des Arc with funeral services at 2:00 P M. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery by Garth Funeral Home. Bro. Eddie Addison officiating. Pallbearers are Christopher Clark, Joe Prior, Ralph Prior, Scott Prior, Paul Weatherford, Gary Cotton.
