Bentonville -- David Ritchie "Boss" Miller, 68, of Bentonville, died Friday at a Bentonville hospital. Born July 22, 1905, at Morristown, Tenn., he was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Verna Runkles Miller of the home; three sons, James Frederick and David R. Jr. of Fayetteville, and Kenneth Lyle of Ponca City, Okla.; one brother, Marshall L. of Memphis; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Holland of Marked Tree; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Callison-McKinney Funeral home with burial in Bentonville Cemetery.

Verna R. Miller, 66, of Bentonville, died Sunday at a Bentonville nursing home. She was born Oct. 30, 1909 at New Kirk, Okla. She moved to Bentonville in 1931. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bentonville.

She is survived by three sons, James F. and David R. Miller Jr. of Fayetteville, and Kenneth L. Miller of Bentonville; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Callison-McKinney Funeral Chapel in Bentonville with the Rev. Sam Teague officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery.
