ROGERS — Benjamin Joseph (Ben) Weiser, 78, of Rogers died Jan. 5, 1996, at his home. He was born Feb. 11, 1917, at Otis, Kan., to Julius and Anna Marie Weiser. He was in the lawn service business and was head of maintenance with the First National Bank of Rogers for 27 years, retiring from that position. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific, and was a Protestant. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, four sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Weiser of the home, to whom he was married 59 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Jim Johnston of Rogers; two sisters, Julie Marler and Elvenia Epps, both of Rogers; two grandchildren, Greg Johnston of Olathe, Kan., and Terri Johnson of Rogers; three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Burns Funeral Home in Rogers with Ronny Hinds officiating. Burial will be in Old Rogers Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Weiser, Clyde Epps, Claude Noland, Jerry Noland, Floyd Cooper, Dean Roller, Darrell Roller and Bill Roller. Honorary pallbearers will be H.K. Knox and Ray Epps.

Memorials may be made to H.K. Knox Liver Transplant Fund, Farmers and Merchants Bank, Rogers.

ROGERS — Helen Bernice Weiser, "Grandmother,"
of Rogers, Ark., passed away from this life Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, at Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village, Bentonville, Ark. She was born Oct. 20, 1918, in Bazine, Kan., to John Henry Krug and Susannah (Schlegel) Krug. She was 101 years old.

She was the sibling to 13 brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by husband Ben Weiser, who she was married to 59 years, seven brothers, four sisters, parents and son-in-law Jim Johnston.

Helen worked at Daisy Manufacturing in Rogers for over 30 years. She was a resident of Rogers for 83 years, moving to Rogers from Kansas. She enjoyed working at home in the garden and on the land, growing flowers, cooking and being with her sisters. She loved her family very much and was a member of the Downtown Church of Christ in Rogers.

Helen is survived by daughter Ann Johnston of Rogers; grandchildren Terri Johnston Johnson and husband Perry of Rogers and Greg Johnston and wife Marsha of Rogers; great-grandchildren Christopher Johnson, and wife Ashleigh of Cave Springs, Natalie Johnson McKeel and husband Brock of Rogers, Tyler Johnston of Fayetteville and Alyssa Johnston of Rogers; great-great-grandchildren Kinley and Chet Johnson and Brylee and Brayden McKeel; sister Bertha Roller of Rogers; and brother John Henry Krug Jr. of Woodland, Calif., as well as many nieces, nephews and relatives.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Private interment in the Rogers Cemetery.

Our family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village, Bentonville, for the love and care they showed our loved one and the loving support they gave to our family at their residence for eight months.
