SPRINGDALE — Ethel Arlene Dent, 87, of Springdale, passed from this life on Feb. 23, 2014, at the Maples in Springdale. She was born on Sept. 22, 1926, in Kirkman, Iowa, to Christian and JoHanna Jensen Swensen.

Ethel was a member of Temple Baptist Church, where she worked in the Awana program for many years.

Ethel is preceded in death by her patents; her husband, Dennis Dent; one brother; and four sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna Worthey of Duncanville, Texas, Dixie Graeve and her husband, Ken of Brookfield, Wis., Diana Carson and her husband, Larry, of Fayetteville, Dan Dent and his wife, Carla, of Fayetteville; siblings, Joy Salmon and her husband, Tom, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Violet Fiscus of Harlan Iowa, Donald Swensen and his wife, Joann of Bellevue, Neb.; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Elmore will be officiating. Interment will follow at Bluff Cemetery.
