Mrs. Gladys Elenburg, age 90, of Caldwell, died Friday, June 17, 2005, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis. Mrs. Elenburg was born Jan. 7, 1915, in Dewitt. She lived in St. Francis County for most of her life and was retired from farm work and was a Baptist by faith. In 1940, Mrs. Elenburg married Vernon C. Elenburg and he preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by three daughters, Marie Sauls and Dorothy Silski, both of Caldwell and Nancy Knight of Alvin, Texas; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Elenburg were held on Monday, June 20, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial followed in Forrest Park Cemetery
