JACKET, Mo. — Loretta Jean Bohannon, 56, of Jacket went to be with her Lord on Monday March 3, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her passing was at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Feb. 15, 1952, in Springdale to Everett and Gladys Smith Wright.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sons, and a brother, Billy Wright.
She is survived by her husband and soul mate, Ronnie Bohannon; two sons, Kenneth Butler and wife Kelly of Winslow and Christopher Butler and wife Tami of Springdale; three stepdaughters, Stacie Sheldon and husband Wesley of Garfield, Amy Dillon and husband Josh of Lowell and Rhonda Restine of Rogers; two grandsons, Austin and Aubrey Butler; eight stepgrandchildren, Jesse and Brittany Goff, Shelby and Hayley Watkins, Briana Byars, Kaedon Dillon, Savannah and Gavin Hittson; two brothers, Jimmy and Danny Wright, both of Springdale; four sisters, Geneva Miller, Barbara McGarrah, and Leona Wright of Springdale and Clara Staggs of Hindsville and her loving mother-in-law, Willie Bohannon.
Loretta also considered her church family at the First Assembly of God in Pea Ridge members of her own family. She was employed at Daisy Manufacturing in Rogers, then later as an executive administrative assistant in the communications and arts department at NorthWest Arkansas Community College. There she made many priceless friends whose support was so much appreciated.
Loretta's passion in life was spreading the message of Jesus' saving grace. She treasured the opportunity to do this through the Prison Ministries program at the Washington County Jail.
She will be missed by all who knew her, as her faith and happy spirit were contagious. Often times when friends visited to support and uplift her, it was they who came away with the blessing.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Edwin Brewer and Robert Fairchild officiating.
Burial will follow in Joyce Cemetery at Pilgrim's Rest.
