Dr. Max Haynes, age 71, of Blytheville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Great Rivers Medical Center in Blytheville.
Born to James and Zada Stallings Haynes of Blytheville, he was a retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Colonel in Vietnam receiving the Bronze Star and a member of the Clear Lake Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hiram Haynes, Jim Allen Haynes Jr., John Madison Haynes; and sister, Patsy Taylor.
Dr. Haynes is survived by four sisters, Carrie Sue Berry of Franklin, Tennessee, Zada Payne of Marion, Arkansas, Vera Work and Janet Allene Morehead of Blytheville, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Inez Haynes of Gulf Port, Mississippi; and a son, Alex Haynes of Blytheville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
