Russell Lee Donnell, 78, of Judsonia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. He was born October 27, 1934 to the late V.V. and Mae Donnell.
He was a active member of the First Baptist Church Judsonia where he served as Deacon for 50 years. He retired from Entergy.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Gray Donnell of Judsonia. He was a loving dad to his children and best friend to his 2 daughters and son, Jackie and husband Dennis Adkins, Judy and husband Lance Perry both of Judsonia, and Mike and wife Sherry Donnell of Jacksonville; brother, Bill Donnell of Little Rock; grandchildren, Dustin, Jaclyn, Braeden and Cooper Adkins of Searcy, Brian Adkins and Jordan Perry of Judsonia, Melissa Dickerson, Mason Williams, Rachel and Joey Peruche and Alex Dickerson of Jacksonville as well as many extended family.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 ½ years, Peggy Donnell and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. A celebration of his life will be conducted Friday, September 20, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Judsonia with Bro. Carey Trickey officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia.
