Doyle Joseph Faddis, 69, of Fayetteville died March 14 at his home. He was born Aug. 20, 1913, at Wharton Creek, the son of James Thomas and Mary Luella Burks Faddis.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Steele Faddis of the home; four daughters, Eloise Faur, Jan Breece and Shelley Steele, all of Fayetteville, and Harriet Wilcoxson of Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers, Elmer Faddis of Hindsville and Joe Frank Faddis of Huntsville; four sisters, Jessie Parson of Huntsville, Geneva Edwards and Ruby Parson, both of Hindsville and Betty Thomas of Benton; and six grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday, March 15, 1983, at the Brashears Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Dennis officiating.
Pallbearers were Tommy Holland, Norman Taylor, Dwight Steele, Milton Thompson, Bob Parson and Don McClain.
Wilma

Mrs. Wilma Maxine Faddis, 77, 1246 Oak Avenue, Fayetteville, died December 28, 1997 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born April 4, 1920 at Wharton, the daughter of Joseph Harrison and Jennie Jewell Bolinger Steele. She was retired from the payroll department at Campbell Soup Company in Fayetteville. She was the widow of Doyle Joseph Faddis who preceded her in death on March 14, 1983. She was also preceded in death by one son, Joe Thomas Faddis, on August 20, 1954.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Eloise Faur, Mrs. Jan Roberts, Mrs. Harriet Wells, and Mrs. Shelley Steele, all of Fayetteville; one sister, Mrs. Vera Parson of Huntsville; five grandsons, Justin Wells, Burke Fanari, Anjad Faur, and David Breece, all of Fayetteville, and Paul Breece of Springdale; one granddaughter, Mrs. Lelise Moline of Fayetteville; three great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Moreland officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Mike Parson, Gary Parson, Mark Parson, Emad Damen, Don MacLean, Gary Hagood, Duane Steele, and Joe Faddis.
