SPRINGDALE — Bonnie Sarah Martin Sims, 91, of Springdale died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, in Springdale. She was born June 5, 1922, in Compton, Ark., to William Harrison and Belle Louise Sims Martin.

Bonnie was a homemaker. She attended First Baptist Church of Lowell. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, quilting, singing. She loved her family and going to church. She had a fondness for visiting friends, and cooking and baking cookies for the Springdale Police Department.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, F.C. "Pete" Sims; one son, Charles Sims; and one brother, Steve Martin.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Steven Sims and wife, Becky, of Springdale, David W. "Bill" Sims of Centerton, and Harold C. Sims and wife, Carolyn, of Lowell; three daughters, Bonnie Charlotte Ralston and husband, Donald, of Tontitown, Cheryl Jean Nollner Simmons and husband, Dave, of Menifee, Calif., Sue Goldman and husband, Haris, of Springdale; and her beloved daughter-in-law, Ann Sims Doss Jeffcoat of Pea Ridge; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many more she considered family.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with the Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
