Rita Howard, 89, of Ozark died Friday, April 11, 2014, at her home. She was born May 23, 1924, in Halogen, Texas. She was a homemaker, member of the Catholic faith and the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3544 and the widow of Farris Howard Sr.
Funeral will be 2pm Wednesday at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark. Private burial will be at a later date at Highland Cemetery.
She is survived by four daughters, Jo Hayes of Altus, Barbara Frazier of the home, Virginia Armstrong of Coal Hill and Beverly Singletary of Greenwood; three sons, Farris Howard, Jr. and Dennis Howard both of Ozark, and Richard Howard of Cass; a sister, Fidencia Adrian; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
