Wife of James Karl Simon Winter
Shirley Faye Winter, 76, of DeLand, Florida, passed away, April 17, 2013 at Woodland Terrace. She was born to Fay Kizer and Alma Ruth Sossamon Hood in Ozark, Arkansas on May 22, 1936 and moved to Florida in 2006 from Dallas, Georgia.
Shirley was a property manager. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, the American Garden Club and a cooking club. Shirley loved working in her garden, cooking, baking, arts and crafts and flower arranging, but she loved her family and pets most of all.
Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Highland Cemetery in Ozark with Pastor Jim McElhaney officiating, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband Jim of 32 years; one son, Mark Bee and wife Lorie of Hoover, Alabama; one daughter, Stacy Bee of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; two brothers, Gary and Larry Hood both of Alma, Arkansas; grandsons, Carson and Noah Bee of Hoover, Alabama.
