GOOD, Robert Clifton - Hugh Good received the tragic news of the death of his son, Clifton, in a railway accident in Texas last week. Mr. Good left for Texas at once to take charge of the remains and arrived here Wednesday with the corpse. According to word given out by railway employees, Clifton was working as a messenger there and missing a passenger train which he expected to take to a nearby town, he attempted to board a moving freight but fell under the wheels and both limbs were cut off. He lived for a short time afterward and it was not until he realized that death was upon him that he told the physicians whom to notify. The news of his death came as a shock to the relatives here for they had not heard of him for a long time. He left home when only about sixteen years old and went west. Later they heard that he had enlisted in the army during the war and next heard from him in Germany. Since the end of the war the parents had not heard from Clifton until they received the news of his death. The funeral services were held here Tuesday and were in charge of Rev. Y.A. Gilmore. A large number of friends extend their sympathy to the relatives.
