Earl R. Lee, 84, of Strawberry, died Feb. 14, 2014, at his home.

Born Oct. 24, 1929, at Delapaine, he was the son of Ray and Lizzie Varner Lee. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was retired from White Rogers in Batesville. He was a member of Curia Masonic Lodge in Cave City. He was of the Southern Baptist faith and was an ordained deacon.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Willie B. Lee, Lehman Lee, Leon Lee and infant Jessie Lavon Lee; and a sister, Opal Gillean.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Opal Lee; three sons, Earl Wayne Lee, Pittsburg, Kan., William B. Lee, Jonesboro, and James Andrew Lee, Locust Grove; a daughter, Cara Dickison, Calamine; a brother, Frank Eugene Lee, Paragould; a sister, Beulah Jackson, Russellville, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral is today at 2 p.m. at Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City with Bro. Curt Howard officiating. Burial will be in Old Lebanon Cemetery at Eaton.

Pallbearers will be Cambria DeLee, Erin DeLee, Zach Dickison, Steve Birmingham, Perry Mitts and Timmy Higgins. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Clem and Frank Fowler.
