January 22, 1948 - January 12, 1972
Willie James Terry, 22, of 519 Kearing Street died Tuesday. Born in El Dorado, January 22, 1949, he was the son of Willie Lee and Naomi Lark Terry. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Naomi Taylor, Fordyce, his father, Willie Lee Terry, El Dorado; three brothers, Miller Gene Terry, U.S. Army, Germany, Jessie James Terry, Grady, and Dewayne U. Taylor, Fordyce; four sisters, Mrs. Marcia D. Swaizer, Miss, Dorothy Jean Terry, Miss Beverly Ellison and Mrs. Addie Lean Turner all of Fordyce; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon Lark, Fordyce, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Abbie Terry of El Dorado. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Zion Watts Baptist Church with the Rev. J. H. Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery, Fordyce, under the direction of Sims Mortuary. The family will be in the home of Willie Lee Terry at 806 Cherry Street. (El Dorado Times - January 15, 1972)
