Derald Elsmer Parks, 83, of Huntsville, Arkansas died January 29, 2008 at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab at Huntsville. He was born June 23, 1924 at Whitener, Arkansas the son of Earl Edgar and Sadie Lillian Bogue Parks. He was veteran of World War Two serving in the United States Army. He was a member of the Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church and Hayes-Smith Post #137, American Legion at Huntsville. He had worked for the Pet Milk Company for twenty-four years and had been an electrician for over thirty years. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Erman Parks, Cecil Parks and an infant and by two sisters, Vivian Southerland and Phillis Polic.
Survivors include: his wife to whom he was married on June 22, 1947, Imogene Neal Parks of the home; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Dorothy Parks of Minden, Louisiana and Johnnie D. and Earlene Parks of Springdale, Arkansas; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Velma Napier and Joyce and Glenn Roberts all of Huntsville, Arkansas, Carolyn and Phil Hudspeth of Farmington, Arkansas and Terry Hall of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his stepmother, Sylvia Dyer of Springdale, Arkansas; eleven nephews and seven nieces.
Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery
