Granvil Sherman Jameson, 62, of Route 5, Box 17, Huntsville, died November 26, 1984, at the Huntsville Memorial Hospital. He was born May 24, 1922 at Japton, Arkansas, the son of Granvil Murphy and Lydia Ball Jameson. He was a retired maintenance man with the Huntsville Memorial Hospital, a member of the Church of Christ, a veteran of World War Two, serving in the United States Army, and was a member of Hayes-Smith Post #137, American Legion, at Huntsville.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy McElhaney Jameson of the home; one son, Lindell Jameson of Huntsville; one brother, Hilbern Jameson of Huntsville; one grandson, Eric Jameson of Huntsville; and one granddaughter, Erin Jameson of Huntsville.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 28, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with C.J. Jackson, minister, officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Lee Ditmore, James McElhaney, Bill Jones, Charles Bohannan, Keith Marshall and Keith Anderson.

Dorothy E. Jameson, 83, of Huntsville died April 25, 2008, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Fayetteville. She was born April 14, 1925, in Aurora to Joe and Ada Seals McElhaney.
She retired from Huntsville Memorial Hospital as a dietary department supervisor. She was a member of the Aurora Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Granvil Sherman Jameson, six brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by a son, Lindell Jameson and wife, Kim, of Forum; a grandson, Eric Jameson and wife, Sarah, of Panama City, Fla., a granddaughter, Erin Morin and husband, Pete, of Hindsville, a great-grandson, Blane Moran of Hindsville and a brother, Chester McElhaney and wife, Marlene, of Huntsville.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Huntsville Church of Christ with Larry Combs officiating. Interment will be in Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Online condolences may be made at brashearsfuneralhome.net.
Pallbearers will be Lee Ditmore, Tom McElhaney, John Anderson, James Anderson, Charles Bohannan and Pete Morin. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Jameson and Blane Morin.
