Mrs. Katie Bell Parks, 87, of 310 Phillips Ave., Huntsville, died March 28, 1993, at Meadowview Lodge Nursing Home in Huntsville. She was born June 4, 1905, at Drakes Creek, the daughter of Callaway "Cal" and Jane Vaughn Drake. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Huntsville. She was the widow of Elra Parks, who preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 1941. She was also preceded in death by one son, Gerald Parks in 1968.
Survivors include two sons, Truman Parks of Theodosia, Mo., and Farrell Parks of West Fork; one daughter, Mrs. Freda Sloan of Huntsville; two brothers, Ray Drake of Huntsville and Robert Drake of Springdale; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, at the Huntsville Cemetery with the Rev. Rusty Blann officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
