Jess Elmer Dailey, 84, of 549 Laura Lee, Fayetteville, Ark., died Nov. 11, 1991, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Nov. 28, 1906, at Kingston, Ark., the son of Frank and Eliza Whorton Dailey. He was retired from the produce and livestock business, a member of the North Street Church of Christ and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Hayes-Smith Post #137, American Legion at Huntsville.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Clara M. Vanderpool Dailey of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Bill (JoAnn) Woodward of Springdale, Mrs. Huston (Joice) Givens of Fayetteville, and Mrs. Chester (Janice) Hayes of Sumter, S.C.; three grandsons, Denny Woodward and Mike Givens, both of Fayetteville, and James Woodward of Springdale; four granddaughters, Miss Melissa Givens of Fayetteville, Miss Sarah Hayes, Miss Laura Hayes, and Miss Kate Hayes, all of Sumter, S.C.; three nephews, Don Burney of Berryville, Dany Bolinger of Huntsville, and James Dailey of Lowell; and two nieces, Mrs. Nadine Swain of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Janette West of West Fork.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Jim Caldwell, minister, officiating. Interment will be in Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Denny Woodward, James Woodward, Mike Givens, Don Burney, Danny Bolinger and James Dailey.
Memorials may be made to the North Street Church of Christ Bus Fund.

Mrs. Clara Mae Dailey, 72, of 549 Laura Lee, Fayetteville died April 3, 1996, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Dec. 30, 1923, at Wesley, Ark., the daughter of William Edward and Ethel Mae Faulkner Vanderpool. She was a member of the North Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville, a retiree of Levi Strauss and a volunteer at the V.A. Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse E. Dailey on Nov. 11, 1991; one brother, Charles E. Vanderpool on Aug. 14, 1982; and one sister, Mrs. Euna Bell Stansell on Dec. 2, 1994.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bill (JoAnn) Woodward of Springdale, Mrs. Huston (Joice) Givines of Fayetteville and Mrs. Chester (Janice) Hayes of Wichita Falls, Tex.; three brothers, Ed Vanderpool of Upland, Calif., Bill Vanderpool and Paul Vanderpool, both of Huntsville; one sister, Mrs. Iva Lee Evans of Huntsville; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Jim Caldwell, minister, officiating. Interment was held in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Denny Woodward, James Woodward, Michael Givens, Danny Bolinger, James Dailey and Donald Burney.
