FORT SMITH — Gerald W. Mosteller, age 94, of Fort Smith, and formerly of Rogers, passed away July 21, 2013. Gerald was born March 18, 1919, in Huntsville, Ark., to parents Elbert James Mosteller and Ida Alta McChristian Mosteller.

As a young man, Gerald enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He went on to work as a medical technician for the Veterans Administration for many years. Gerald was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rogers as well as the Oak Cliff Baptist Church in Fort Smith. He enjoyed flowers, gardening and NASCAR. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Eula; parents; and six brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra E. Farretta and husband, Bill, of Chandler, Ariz.; sister, Donna Jean Miller of 0-Fallon, Mo.; brother, Jerry Lee Mosteller of Coffeyville, Kan.; grandchildren, Kathy Farretta of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Kristine Reynolds and husband, Justin, of Eagle, Idaho; and three great-grandchildren, Ciara, Colton and Talia.

Visitation will start at noon on Saturday, July 27, 2013, and extend to service time at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home chapel, 3800 W. Walnut in Rogers.
