Orville Bennett Dorsey, 71, of 412 Lee Street, Huntsville, Ark., died July 30, 1989, at his home. He was born June 8, 1918, at Drakes Creek, Ark., the son of Charles Bennett and Effie Lawson Dorsey. He had retired form Carroll Electric Cooperative Corporation with 33 years of service and was a retired member of the Huntsville Volunteer Fire Department with more than 20 years of service. He attended the Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nadine Cornelison Dorsey of the home; one son, Kenneth P. Dorsey of Huntsville; one brother, Carl Dorsey of Springdale; two sisters, Mrs. Irvin "Jean" Emmett of Springdale and Mrs. Dewey "Sylvia" Pitts of Fayetteville; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Ryan and the Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jerry Martens, Skippy Emmett, J.C. Dorsey, David Deaton, J.D. Wright and Fred Lawson. Honorary pallbearers were Dewey Pitts and Merle Donaghey.

Mable Nadine Dorsey, 75, of Huntsville died May 4, 1996, at her home. She was born April 6, 1920, at Drakes Creek to Charles William and Alta Ethel Boyd Cornelison. She was a retired sewing machine operator and a member of Christ Lighthouse Church in Huntsville. She was the widow of Orville Dorsey, who preceded her in death on July 30, 1989. She was also preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Dorsey on August 27, 1994.
Survivors include one brother, Charles Cornelison of Red Bluff, Calif.; three sisters, Fern Donaghey of Huntsville, and Billie Clark and Chloe Smith, both of Anaheim, Calif.; one brother-in-law, Carl Dorsey of Springdale; two sisters-in-law, Jean Emmett of Ponca and Sylvia Pitts of Fayetteville; three grandsons, J.C. Dorsey and K.P. Dorsey, both of Springdale, and David Hammond of Tampa, Fla; four granddaughters, Sherry Fox of Copeland, Kan., Denise Hacker of Plains, Kan. Tina Hammond of Tampa, Fla., Shana Dorsey of Roanoke, Va.; five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Bennett and the Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
