Joseph Harley "Joey" Phillips, 46, of HC 68, Box 115, Green Forest, Ark., died Aug. 15, 1992, at Rudd, Ark. He was born June 29, 1946, at Huntsville, the son of Harley Allison and Jessie Gilliam Phillips. He was a farmer and a member of the Berryville United Methodist Church, a member of the board of the Carroll County Farm Bureau and the South Carroll County Fire Association.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Candyce Marie Brown Phillips of the home; two sons, Terry Joseph Phillips of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Craig Edward Phillips of Huntsville, Ala.; two daughters, Miss Kayla Michelle Phillips and Miss Megan Leigh Phillips, both of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Phillips of Huntsville; one brother, Ben Phillips of Reeds Springs, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Kathy Burke of North Little Rock; several nephews and nieces.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Bonda Moyer and the Rev. Johnnie Thompson officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Charles Lachti, Kirk Powell, Harold Logan, Harold Johnson, Ronnie Webb, and Jerry Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Colvin, Mike Fancher, Mike Ragland, Jim Henderson, John Howerton, J.C. Smith, Rusty Butler, Alan Hunnicutt, Ulys K. Smith, and Tom Wyatt.
