SPRINGDALE — She was born July 23, 1942, in Los Angeles, Calif., to the late Athene and Kiva Hoffman.
As a child, she was featured in a Dick Powell film called "Mrs. Mike." She was a nature-lover, and as a young teenager, had her own horse. She married Leon Hawkinson in Northridge, Calif., who preceded her in death. Later in life, Geri moved to Northwest Arkansas to live with her daughters.
She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Mae Hawkinson of Springdale and Tami Hawkinson of Colcord, Okla.; brother, Phillip W. Hoffman of Pace, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Aleshia Hawkinson, David Balluck and Lucas Hawkinson.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Joyce Cemetery in Springdale.
Arrangements under the care and direction of Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. Condolences may be offered at www.westfieldchapel.com.
